After 40 years of dedicating himself to the world of professional photography and being one of Australasia's leading advertising and portrait photographers, Michael has refocused his passion for art and design to include creating sculpture and interior design objects.

Five years ago he set up the Wharf Road Studios on Te Atatu Peninsula, a space for a group of artists to work from and where he has his own studio and workshop and has also been an important venue for live music gigs where many of NZ's leading jazz musicians have played.

Having had a long term passion for using recycled timber and a new found fascination for incorporating steel into his work, Michael is now producing objects, furniture and sculpture with a style that is establishing him as a new talent in the world of art and design.
